What’s new this year?
Opening Session: Like last year, we will hold the Opening Session at the end of Day 1. However to accommodate growing numbers and provide a quality experience, we’re holding the Opening Ceremony at Williamstown Town Hall at 104 Ferguson Street, Williamstown. Williamstown is a beautiful seaside suburb with a variety of al fresco dining options. It’s a great spot to connect with colleagues and strand buddies over a meal or a drink after the Opening Ceremony. Buses will be provided for participants to get to and from the Opening Ceremony. If you do choose to kick on in Williamstown after the Opening Ceremony, then Williamstown railway station is nearby so you can easily catch a train back to Footscray or the CBD. Further details can be found below and will be sent via email to all participants before the event.
Different location for Primary STEAM strand: The Primary STEAM strand will be held at Wyndham Tech School, a high-tech learning environment which is hosted by Victoria University on its Werribee campus.
Strands: A total of 15 strands will be available for selection this year. Three of those strands will be offered for the first time and two strands have been revised.

Strands require a minimum number of participants to run. Once a strand has been filled, it may not be possible to add further participants to that particular strand. Therefore, we ask that each participant nominate two strand preferences on their registration form. Every effort will be made to place participants in their first strand preference, however, room capacity may limit the number of strand participants. Our advice: register early to secure your preferred strand.
