Introduction to AVID is a 90-minute synchronous course that will be completed prior to ElevateXP.
Introduction to AVID is the first step in your ElevateXP journey and is an introduction to AVID’s core concepts and shared language. Completing Introduction to AVID will assist your understanding of the Community of Practice content.
We ask that all participants engage in an Introduction to AVID, whether you are new to AVID or have been in an AVID school for a while.
Three sessions will take place between 16 and 18 May and ElevateXP participants selected their Introduction to AVID ElevateXP session as part of registration. Please contact AVID Australia if you have not yet selected an Introduction to AVID session.
Accessing your Introduction to AVID session
All Introduction to AVID sessions will be conducted as 90 minute conferences within AVID Australia Canvas. Follow these steps to access your Introduction to AVID session:
- Approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of your nominated session, you will receive a reminder email from AVID Australia ElevateXP with a link to the conference.
- Follow the link in this email to the Introduction to AVID page.
- Join the active conference on the BigBlueButton page of the course to enter the Introduction to AVID conference.
- Select Microphone when prompted to join the audio to ensure that you can fully engage in the session.
