AVID’s five phases of Focused Note-Taking empower students to take charge of their learning.

The Focused Note-Taking process  deepens students’ understanding of content through inquiry and learning-through-writing strategies.

Participants will:

  • Learn about AVID’s WICOR Teaching & Learning Framework.
  • Learn about and practise Focused Note-Taking (FNT) strategies.
  • Reflect on how they can improve the way that students take notes in their class.
