Participants will:
▪ Learn about AVID’s WICOR teaching and learning framework
▪ Be introduced to and practice teaching strategies that leverage the strengths of the WICOR framework
▪ Choose strategies appropriate to the content and learning objectives of their teaching area.
WICOR Schoolwide (K-12) provides an introduction to implementing the WICOR framework within the classroom and is ideal for teachers who are new to AVID.
NESA Accredited
This workshop is a NESA Accredited Professional Development course.
For teachers in New South Wales, this means that completing WICOR Schoolwide (K–12) will contribute 2 hours and 30 minutes of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Delivery and Assessment of NSW Curriculum/EYLF addressing standard descriptor 3.3.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
