While we can’t gather teachers from around Australia in one room this year, we know teachers can still grow and bloom with Zoom.
Over the course of two days (3-4 December) participants will have the chance to learn from fellow educators and keynotes. After a strange school year, this is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate excellent classroom practice and be inspired. This will be an occasion to acknowledge teachers and showcase student voice.
How will it work?
National Conference will feature a suite of teacher-led workshops, developed and delivered by experienced AVID practitioners from Australia and the USA.
These workshops will equip participants with AVID’s evidence-based teaching strategies; invite them to explore school AVID implementation journeys; and strengthen collaboration within the AVID community so that student outcomes can be improved for all students.
The health and wellbeing of teachers are extremely important to us. That’s why National Conference will also include custom health and wellbeing sessions for teachers, run by experts in the field.
Students are at the centre of everything we do. Their voices will be heard in our student panel session and in the winning submissions to our 2020 Student Video Competition.
